Hillview Baptist Church desire to glorify God in all we say and do, to live out the Great Commission which tells us to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ” (Matthew 28:19) all the while shining the light of Christ here in our city, the greater Williamsport area, and beyond.

The Gospel… The Power of God for Salvation
The term “Gospel” refers to the Redemptive Plan and work of God accomplished in Christ on our behalf. Our only hope in life and death is our Savior Jesus. He has fully paid the penalty for all believers’ sins with his precious blood and has set us free from the tyranny of sin, empowering us by His Spirit to know and do His will. He also watches over us in such a way that not a hair can fall from our head without the will of our Father in Heaven till He gathers us together as His beloved children for eternity.
The good news of the Gospel is how we come into a right relationship with God and how we are empowered to grow in our experience of His love and likeness.
Making Disciples… The Image of Christ
We believe the mission of the church is expressed by Jesus in the Great Commission:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
We believe all believers have gifts and abilities that are to be used to aid in this work so that the church may build itself up in love to do the work of Christ. We are His body, He is our head.

Our mission is to share the good news of the Gospel with every generation and in every nation we are able to and to remember that begins in our hearts, homes, neighborhoods, and city.
